History with a Personal Touch – Establishing a Boutique Winery
“If this land has agriculture, this land is our homeland” (Moshe Smilansky, one Israel’s first agriculturalists)
“Behold the rain which descends from heaven upon our vineyards, and which incorporates itself with the grapes to be changed into wine; a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy!” (Benjamin Franklin)
In 2012, after some experience of wine production on a small scale, we decided to establish a winery to create quality boutique wines.
We chose to focus on producing red wine with a classic French and Italian orientation while blending varieties. The varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Marselan, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Sangiovese grapes from the Bin Nun vine-yard. We also grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Syrah in Giv’at Yesga’ahu- Judean hills by a leading winegrower.
The wine is produced in a meticulous process that begins in stainless steel tanks brought from Italy and continues with traditional aging and enhancement in French oak barrels. The use of natural production processes allows us to turn the grape must into fine wine of high quality.
