We first read about Roy Itzhaki (owner and CEO), while researching on Tulip Winery.
An interview with him on Youtube - The Story of Tulip Winery, had him talking about his vision - about making high quality wines and achieving financial success but also to give back to the community.
This was what motivated him. So Tulip winery became a 'social winery', and is located in Kfar Tikwa, a settlement for adults with special needs. It employs the residents to work in the Winery. It also strives for sustainability. Established in 2003, the winery produces quality wines from vineyards in the Upper Galilee and Judea.
Roy is young, inspiring and dynamic. His devotion to the winery, the principles of the village and his workers is heartwarming. He has built a team in his image and is always looking ahead.
Our first meeting with him, proved him to be as charismatic and sincere as he was on the Youtube videos. He was come a long way in living out his dreams and in giving back to the society. We are glad to be partnering with him and his team in bringing his wines to Singapore!
